Earn Eligible Cashback at ESPN BET

You can earn Eligible Cashback by fulfilling the requirements of a promotion that offers Eligible Cashback as a reward or via discretionary awards from ESPN BET.

Once awarded, the Eligible Cashback will be added to your Reward Details page under the Cashback tab. The details of how to unlock cashback can also be found on this page.

Eligible Cashback explained

Cashback is the mechanism by which you can turn your Eligible Cashback balance into cash. It is represented by a percentage, which indicates the amount of wagering activity required.

For example, a $10 Eligible Cashback balance with a 5% cashback rate would require the patron to wager $200 cash in order to unlock the full $10 in Eligible Cashback. Cashback will unlock progressively, meaning that for every qualifying wager that a patron places, a portion of the Eligible Cashback balance will unlock as cash in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Eligible Cashback. See Example 1 below.

Example 1

5% cashback: A patron has a $1,000 Eligible Cashback balance that offers a 5% cashback rate. This means the patron will earn 5% cashback on every qualifying cash wager until the $1,000 Eligible Cashback balance is exhausted or it expires.

• Starting cash balance: $1,000

• Starting Eligible Cashback balance: $1,000

• Cash Wager placed: $100

• Cashback unlocked: $5

• New cash balance: $905 ($1,000 - $100 stake + $5 unlocked Eligible Cashback)

• New Eligible Cashback balance: $995 ($1,000 - $5 unlocked Eligible Cashback)

How to redeem an Eligible Cashback offer

If you place a bet that qualifies to earn cashback (see "Do all cash bets qualify for earning cashback?" above) the applicable cashback will be earned as soon as the bet is placed. If cashback has been earned on a bet and that bet is subsequently voided, results in "no action", or is not settled as a win, loss, or push*, the cashback earned on the bet will be converted back into your Eligible Cashback balance if that balance is still active (see Example 2 below). If there are insufficient cash funds in your account to convert the cashback back to the Eligible Cashback balance or if the balance has expired, and this results in a negative cash balance in your account, your account will be temporarily suspended pending rectification of such negative account balance.

* Although a push is deemed "no action" under ESPN BET House Rules, cashback earned on this wager will not be converted back into your Eligible Cashback balance.

Example 2

Rolling back voided, "no action" or unsettled bet to Eligible Cashback balance: A patron has $10 Eligible Cashback that unlocks at a rate of 5%. The patron earned $2 cashback by placing a $40 cash bet. The $40 bet results in "no action" because the event is canceled.

• Starting cash balance: $100

• Starting Eligible Cashback balance: $10

• Wager placed: $40

• Cashback earned: $2

• Post-wager cash balance: $62 ($100 - $40 stake + $2 cashback)

• Post-wager Eligible Cashback balance: $8

• Post-wager "no action" cash balance: $100 ($62 + $40 stake refund - $2 cashback)

• Post-wager "no action" new Eligible Cashback balance: $10

Eligible Cashback terms & conditions

• At least 19 years of age or older.

• Physically located within the province of Ontario.

• Valid account.

• Valid payment method.

• Bonus must be used within a specified time frame, which is provided in the terms and conditions of the promotion.

• Cash out of any wager that was used to unlock the bonus and get the corresponding amount of unlocked bonus to revert back from cash to the bonus balance. That amount may be unlocked again by placing a cash bet if the bonus is still available during the cashback period.

• Eligible Cashback is available if its redemption period has not expired, the amount has not been fully claimed, has not been opted out of, or has not otherwise been revoked in accordance with the promotion terms.

• Any bonus balance that remains locked at the end of the cashback period will be forfeited. The promotion reward is non-transferable.

It's up to you whether or not you’d like to redeem a Bonus Bet to place a wager or save it to redeem another time before the Bonus Bet expires. You can view the expiry date of a Bonus Bet in the ‘Bonus Bets’ section. A Bonus Bet cannot be used to redeem other promotions or unlock Eligible Cashback. Only one (1) Bonus Bet can be redeemed at a time. Bonus Bets cannot be used on any Casino games. Bonus Bets cannot be redeemed for cash.
